Meet The Team

Nicole Arsenault, RDH, DDS

My name is Nicole Arsenault. Recently my husband, Dan, and I have acquired Dr. Resnick’s practice and joined him and his amazing team. I am a dental hygienist and dentist. In 2005 I graduated dental hygiene school and in 2011 dental school, both from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

I enjoyed 2 year practicing dental hygiene in my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan before I went back to U of M to attend dental school. Upon graduation from dental school I did a 1 year internship with Dental Clinics North and Michigan Community Dental Clinics focusing on oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and general restorative dentistry. After my internship I was hired full time as a staff dentist for Dental Clinics North in Alpena, MI where I worked as a staff dentist providing care for the underserved population for 9 years. I loved providing care for these people, but I felt I needed to expand the scope of my dental practice.

During the winter of 2022 I began communicating with Dr. Resnick about joining him and his practice. The more we communicated, the more it seemed we were a great match to join together and practice dentistry. June 2022 I came aboard to join Dr. Resnick and his team and it has been so much fun! I am enjoying a much broader freedom to practice dentistry in a greater scope that I feel can help people in a more substantial way. I strive to improve my patients' quality of life by the services I provide for them.

Now that I have more freedom in the scope of my practice I hope to give back by helping provide Northern Michigan with frenectomy releases (because of tongue and lip ties). I have two sons that both struggled early in life because of issues with tongue/lip ties. I currently triage children and educate parents about issues that can occur with tongue and lip ties and create awareness about the importance of the airway in developing children. I plan to expand my education and make connections with IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consult) to perform frenectomies with a laser to help moms and babies with breastfeeding or any other issues they are having associated with ties.

I have three young children, Rachel (born 2016), Luke (born 2018), and Walter (born 2020) and a wonderful husband, Dan, who has been very helpful and instrumental with planning and behind the scenes work in the practice. I love spending time with my family, really doing anything, but we love being active, doing anything outdoors, walking, hiking, biking, campfires, and boating in the summer. We also love sledding and skiing outdoors in the winter and movies and reading by the fire indoors in the winter.

Gregg Resnick, DDS

With almost 30 years experience, Dr. Resnick has become an expert at dentistry. He is especially proud of the cosmetic and orthodontic work he has done. After growing up in Oak Park and West Bloomfield, near Detroit, he attended the University of Michigan, first as an undergraduate, and then at the School of Dentistry. He earned the title Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1984. He went on to practice in Pinconning, then Ann Arbor, with a volunteer experience in Israel in between. He has been practicing in Alpena since 1988. He has been a continuous student, serving as president of the F. B. Vedder Society study group, studying at the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and taking many courses every year.

In his free time Dr. Resnick likes reading, hunting, travel, sailboat racing, and staying fit. He is an avid cyclist, pickleball player, and skier. He has completed 2 half marathons, and 4 DALMAC bike rides from Lansing to Mackinaw City. He has two children: Jessica, who lives in Baltimore, and David, who lives in Alpena.  He loves working with Dr. Arsenault, and is loving semi-retirement!  He plans to continue part time for many years.

I have had the pleasure of working as a dental hygienist for Dr Resnick and now Dr Arsenault for 17 years.
My family (husband and 2 sons) have enjoyed this great area and all its beauty for school, sports, fishing, and camping.  Life is one grand adventure and I am so glad to have this office as part of my story.

The thing I love most about my job is seeing all of the patients and creating a relationship with them.  I would say the most rewarding job is seeing everyone smile or be comfortable and confident when they leave here!  Hope to see you soon!
